Give your time. Give your talent. Be part of training the leaders of tomorrow.

The NSCC units in Eastern Massachusetts are interested in adding new adult volunteers to our ranks. Whether you’re in the military reserves, the parent of one of our cadets, a member of a veterans’ organization, or just an interested citizen, we’d like to talk to you about volunteering your time with the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

The NSCC is a safety-first youth program. Every one of our volunteers is subjected to an initial background check conducted by National HQ at the time of enrollment. In addition, volunteers are checked through the Massachusetts state “CORI” system as required by law. Parents and cadets can join the program confident that cadet safety is our top priority.

So, who are we? The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps Officer Corps provides adult leadership for cadets.  NSCC officers are dedicated volunteers who instruct cadets, operate units and escort cadets when participating in events away from the unit. We particularly welcome veterans, members of active Reserve military commands and leaders within the community. That said, the NSCC does not require specific education or professional qualifications. Strong core values, personal integrity and a willingness to learn.

In order to join the NSCC Officer Corps you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a citizen or legal resident of the U.S.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Undergo a comprehensive criminal background check.
  • Be professional, eager to learn, and willing to work to improve the lives of our young men and women.

If you want to volunteer with us, please contact the Commanding Officer of each unit directly, or use the Contact form on this page.
